Midstream Lighting, a world leader in LED lighting technology, has cemented its support for the next generation of sports stars ahead of this year’s FSB show in Cologne.
The company, which already sponsors tennis ace Jodie Burrage, and Italian ASD Euro Volley Ball School, has announced three new sponsorships across the fields of athletics and hockey. Furthering its investment into the future of sporting talent, Midstream’s financial contribution will support three young athletes at a vital point in their development, helping them to shine at their brightest.
In partnership with charity SportsAid, Midstream Lighting will provide support for:
· Kitty Chapple, Hockey
Kitty was selected for UK Sport’s Great Britain Elite Development Programme earlier this year, and has represented England Under-18s on multiple occasions.
· Samuel Bennett, Athletics
20-year old Sam took gold in the 110m hurdles at the 2018 European Youth Championship, breaking the British Under-18 record in the process.
· Steven Stone, Para Athletics
Steven, 21, was a member of the British Athletics Paralympics Futures Academy in 2020 and has won numerous long jump events both at home and abroad.
“We’re honoured to have the opportunity to support these three incredible athletes on their continuing journeys,” says James Brunt, Midstream Lighting’s Director for Sports. “Sport brings people and communities together like nothing else, and we believe that it has never been more important to invest in the future of talented individuals like Kitty, Sam, and Steven. We want to help build a brighter future for sporting talent both on and off of the field.”
Graham Dandy, Partnership Manager at SportsAid, continues: “The support of companies like Midstream Lighting is absolutely vital in our mission to help nurture the next generation of sporting heroes. This sponsorship will go a long way to ensuring that these phenomenal young athletes can focus on their performance, rather than the costs of participation.”
This latest announcement builds on a fast-growing history of sponsorship and partnership-related initiatives for Midstream Lighting’s Sports team. The company became the Official Lighting Partner for both England Athletics and England and GB Hockey in 2020, and announced its support for four-time ITF singles winner Burrage earlier this year.
Midstream Lighting can be found on stand D018 in Hall 10.1 at FSB 2021.

About SportsAid
SportsAid is a charity which enriches the lives of talented young athletes by recognising and nurturing their abilities through and beyond sport.
SportsAid supports over 1,000 athletes each year – the vast majority aged 12 to 18 – by providing them with a financial award to help towards training and competition costs. This acts as a real motivational boost as it is often the first recognition they receive outside of their support network. Most of them rely heavily on their parents as they have no other funding.
